Our
teams
Brixton competes in Mixed, Women’s and Open divisions. Some members play across two divisions, while others choose to focus on one.
As a club, we prioritise playing Mixed and our all-club training sessions are mixed gender, but we enter Tours in all divisions and have regular Women’s/Open training sessions too.
Each of our teams works slightly differently, and if you sign up with us we’ll ask what division you’re interested in playing, so please read the information here to see what might be the best fit for you.
Women's
Brixton Women is a non-trialling team that is open to all players who identify as female-matching (FMP). We want to provide a space for any FMP to have the opportunity to come and play Women's Ultimate, no matter your availability, ability, or any other circumstances.
We intend to enter all UKU Women’s Tours and hold regular single-gender coach-led training sessions based in south London. For Tour, while we are not an elite team, we will aim to push ourselves and play competitively. We also know our goals may need to flex depending on player demand, needs and interest.
You do not need to be able to attend training sessions to sign up for Tour with us and, vice versa, if you would like to come along and train with a supportive team but do not want to play tournaments then Brixton Women is still for you!
mixed
As well as our all-club mixed training, we have a “Mixed Training Squad” (MTS) to provide space and opportunity for more intense and focused training sessions, with the aim of performing competitively at Mixed tour events.
The MTS is formed of players who meet selection criteria and is flexible throughout the season. Our teams for Mixed Tour events are drawn from the MTS and we run regular invite-only MTS training sessions.

The aim for our Open team is to provide male-matching players with both competitive and development training opportunities.
We intend to enter all UKU Open tours and hold regular single-gender sessions throughout the season. Our Open team for Tour events will be selected from the club according to our selection criteria.
